About
BFN Scale is designed for growth-stage startups with customers and recurring revenues or a scaleable product or service ready to go to the next level. The BFN Scale program provides access to additional sources of funding through initiatives such as UTEST and Connaught BIPOC funding ($50K – $200K per venture) for ventures built using U of T intellectual property. Additional funding and awards will be available through an extensive investor network for scaling startups who have reached revenue, customer & employee milestones.
BFN Scale also provides Black-led startups with resources to help defray professional services costs (eg. legal, accounting, technology). Members will receive dedicated hands-on support along with programming tailored to their needs. Other features include regular office hours with entrepreneurs and investors “in-residence”, dedicated mentorship and investor pitch opportunities.
BFN Scale is a concierge-style support system for a select number of scaling Black-led businesses. The application will include a summary of key business milestones and future plans/needs as well as a reference from a U of T accelerator lead.
BFN Scale will help you increase profitability, drive market share, develop a talent strategy, fundraise, and navigate the ups and downs of leading a scaling business.
