We’ll consider the different types of investors and how they approach the diligence and investment process, the classes of investment vehicles, best practices and pitfalls in investor outreach and interaction, typical diligence processes, guidelines for successfully negotiating term-sheets, and managing relationships with academic founders pre and post-investment.

Meet the Speaker
Ido Kaminsky is Director of Technology & Venture development with Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners (TIAP). In his role, Ido supports the spinout of early-stage therapeutic technologies from the Toronto Innovation Ecosystem, as well as investments into existing startups in that space. Previously, Ido served as a Director of BD at FutuRx, an incubator operated by J&J, Takeda, and Orbimed, where he led scouting and evaluation activities resulting in the creation of over 10 biotech startups.
