Lise Birikundavyi

Lise is the managing partner for BKR Capital, a $10 million VC fund that invests in Black-led tech start-ups. Launched in June 2021 with a lead investment from BDC Capital, she is the first Black female to lead an institutionally backed VC fund in Canada. Having worked in finance in places like China, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Canada, Lise developed a deep understanding of the inequities that exist for entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds.
