The National University of Singapore Overseas Colleges (NOC) has landed in Toronto!
Started in the Fall of 2018, 3rd year undergraduates from Asia’s top university now spend 12 months doing full-time internships in exciting innovative companies across the GTA.
Interns range from all disciplines across NUS and only those showing keen interest in entrepreneurship – as well as attributes such as leadership, resilience and resourcefulness – are handpicked for the program.
The next batch of student-interns arrive in August 2019.
Interested companies can contact the Program Director, Mr. Harpreet Singh, to find out more about the program. He will also be happy to share the students’ CVs with you.
Mr. Singh will be available for a casual Meet & Greet in ONRamp’s Insulin boardroom (Room 156, Suite 150, 100 College St.) on Monday June 24 between 12-1pm and on Thursday June 27 from 2-3pm – feel free to drop by to learn more.
As part of the program, NUS will manage all administrative requirements (e.g. Visa, work permits, insurance, airfare, etc.) and transition students from Singapore to Toronto. Companies are only expected to provide a monthly stipend to support students working for them.
NUS has already implemented this program with great success since 2002 in Silicon Valley, New York, Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Shanghai and Beijing. More info on the program can be found here or in the U of T News article.
