Another incredible year for the U of T Entrepreneurship community!

This year, we supported more than 1,400 entrepreneurial teams across U of T’s 13 innovation hubs, welcomed BioLabs University of Toronto as our newest accelerator, and celebrated the launch of the $40M Genesys University Innovation Fund to strengthen life sciences innovation and commercialization.

PitchBook ranks U of T #17 globally and #2 in Canada for undergraduate founders, while also placing the university among the world’s top 10 publicly funded institutions for entrepreneurship. We are also #1 in Canada for graduate student founders (including women-led companies) and MBA founders. These rankings reflect the impact of U of T’s entrepreneurial community that has raised more than $27 billion in venture funding and created 27,600 jobs over the past decade.
