Rahul is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, aerospace engineer and proud Canadian currently on a mission to build Canada into a true spacefaring nation. He is the CEO and founder of NordSpace, a Canadian end-to-end space missions company building orbital class rockets, a commercial spaceport, satellites, and hypersonic systems for commercial and defence purposes, entirely made in Canada. NordSpace is privately funded by Rahul, alongside his other investments in aerospace and defence startups.
Rahul holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Engineering Science stream at the University of Toronto, and is also pursuing a PhD part time at the University of Toronto’s Institute for Aerospace Studies in space robotics with the initial aim to develop a Canadian lunar rover to reach the lunar surface by 2028. He sits on the board of several not-for-profits to help develop programs that facilitate and support Canadians pursuing science, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
Rahul manages two other companies including PheedLoop, an enterprise event management software company which he founded during his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in the Hatchery program, and Genepika, a biotechnology company developing genetically engineered diagnostic and therapeutic devices for commercial and defence point of care applications. In his free moments, Rahul enjoys fast cars, motorcycles, and extreme sports.
