For over 13 years, Jamachi has dedicated his career to advancing innovation-driven growth across emerging and developed markets. His work bridges technology, entrepreneurship, and inclusive development, focusing on building ecosystems that foster job creation, talent development, and economic resilience.
As Senior Manager, Founder Services at ventureLAB Canada, one of the country’s leading innovation hubs, Jamachi provided strategic guidance and mentorship to hundreds of early-stage technology founders. He managed a network of 25 advisors and 70 Executives-in-Residence, collectively supporting more than 3,500 entrepreneurs in navigating growth, investment readiness, and market expansion. Recognizing the persistent funding gap for hardware and deep-tech ventures, Jamachi co-founded the Hardtech Investor Network (HIN) — a first-of-its-kind initiative that brings together aligned investors to accelerate capital access for hardtech companies shaping the future of industry.
Before joining ventureLAB, Jamachi was the Director of Business Development and Expansion for Alerzo, an on-demand African inventory distribution platform that bridges the gap between retailers and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies. Under his leadership, Alerzo’s operations scaled across Ghana, Cameroon, and Kenya, supported by a cross-border team of more than 350 staff and generating monthly revenues exceeding CAD $1.3 million. His leadership helped position Alerzo as a key player in transforming Africa’s informal retail ecosystem through technology and logistics innovation.
Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Jamachi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Oil and Gas (Hydrocarbon) Management from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He is also a Former Visiting Fellow at the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jamachi is deeply committed to mentorship and community engagement. He volunteers his time mentoring newcomers to Canada, helping them navigate professional transitions and integrate into the Canadian innovation economy.
