Topic: Knowhows for Canadian Entrepreneurs to doing business beyond Canada and expand internationally

We would like to offer a workshop about what Canadian entrepreneurs should know before they start doing business internationally. This workshop would cover topics about qualifying business partners, finding manufacturers and distributors, using a JV, protecting IP, and funding a company’s expansion into the international market. This would be a 30 to 45 minute lecture session followed by a 45 minutes Q&A session. We will be inviting Export Development Canada (EDC) to explain how they can help with funding of certain business activities to support the export trade. We will also be inviting Canadian Trade Commissioner in China to participate in some way if they can. They can help organize one-on-one meetings between Canadian executives and Chinese investors or potential partners when Canadian companies are in China.
