The Hatchery Speaker Series is part of The Entrepreneurship Hatchery’s Evangelism activities to foster the entrepreneurial mindset across the University of Toronto community. The series welcomes all UofT students from different backgrounds including Engineering students who are currently enrolled in Entrepreneurship courses.

The Speaker Series aims to inspire students through first-hand insights from Entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

Melisa Ellis is an engineer, co-author and founder of Nobellum Enterprise. Melisa aims to inspire a new generation of STEM professionals as she leads initiatives that will ignite the start-up of at least 100 Black owned businesses in STEM by 2025. She is a University of Toronto alumni who went on to pursue Project Management at Humber and later pivoted to Software Engineering at Sheridan College when she discovered the world of Tech.  Melisa is a frequent panelist and voice for women entrepreneurs. In addition to being a founder, a serial entrepreneur, and a successful businesswoman, Melisa is also a proud member of her community.
